Generational discipleship and families are at the core of who we are at the Christian Church of Estes Park, so we strive to provide a safe and fun environment where children can learn and grow in God’s love for them! We realize that some families may value worshipping together in the main gathering, and we are always glad to have children in service with us! For families who prefer to make use of our children’s spaces, take a look below to see what to expect for you child on any given Sunday morning!

To ensure everyone's safety, every staff member and volunteer on our kids ministry team is pre-screened, background-checked, and are required to uphold CCEP safety policies. In addition to this, all children’s spaces are security camera-monitored. If you are curious about the children’s spaces or the specific safety policies we hold, just ask when you arrive and our Family Pastor would be happy to give you a tour or to walk through our policies with you!

Infants and toddlers are loved and cared for in our nursery room. Although your baby or toddler may not yet have the capacity to sit at a table, talk, or fully understand everything going on around them, our nursery volunteer team is uniquely gifted at showing God’s love through play and connection! 

Kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade will start their Sunday morning with their parents/guardians during the musical worship portion of the service (normally 15-20 minutes). Our worship pastor then prays for the kids, and then sends them out of the room to their teachers who will lead them down to Praise Place. They will be split into two groups; K-2nd grade, and 3rd-5th grade. While in Praise Place, your kids will play games, make crafts, learn a valuable lesson from the Bible, and spend time processing and connecting practically with what they are learning. 

When you arrive, swing by our check-in table on your way to grab coffee and a donut! When you check in, your child will receive a name tag, and you will receive what we call a “child check”, both of which have a matching number/letter combination. After service, bring your child check with you to hand to your child’s teacher so that they can be released from our care. 

You may have noticed that we currently don’t have any specific programming for children that are "in-betweeners"; kids who may be a little too old for the nursery but are not yet in grade school. We are working on establishing a Pre-K ministry right now as our church is growing quickly with young families, but for the time being, in-betweeners are welcome to either be in the nursery or join the older kids in Praise Place if you feel that they are ready.
